YAHAnet's Wall of Hands & collage workshop at AIDS 2010, Vienna
It was very rewarding for us to get the chance to meet youth from around the world (from Venezuela and Bolivia to Malawi and Madagascar; from Hungary and Uzbekistan to Nepal and Indonesia) at the YAHAnet booth and at the collage workshop! We hope that all those we met have fun searching for their hands among the 233 hand photos or reliving their collage workshop experiences through the photos and video interviews. If you weren't able to attend AIDS 2010, we hope that you still take the time to explore this section and get inspired by what was created!

Collage workshop by the YAHAnet team at the YouthForce Pre-Conference
On July 16, 2010, in Vienna, Austria, the YAHAnet team hosted a collage workshop on the theme of "Youth Rights to Expression in the Age of AIDS".
After the YAHAnet team (Katie, Lukas, and John) gave an introduction on using the arts for HIV & AIDS awareness and a short tutorial on how to collage, the 20 workshop participants divided themselves into groups of 4–6. Each participant then chose 4 magazine photos that grabbed his or her attention.
Within the small groups, participants explained why they had chosen their images and how these images related to the workshop theme. Participants then cut their images, agreed on the layout, and glued everything in place.
The workshop ended with each group sharing and explaining their collage with the other groups.
