Judging Criteria

Podcasts will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Presence of a clearly formed message; it should be clear what you are trying to get across to the audience
  • Relevance of message to the theme
  • Creativity in delivering the message

Prize Info

  • The winning entry for each category will be featured in a special section on the YAHAnet homepage along with bios and photos of the winners.
  • Winning entries will get airtime on a university radio station in Montreal, Canada (streamable online worldwide) and possibly on Canada’s national broadcaster, CBC Radio!
  • YAHAnet will also make a cash donation to the school, club, or organization of the winning participants or to a youth-focused HIV and AIDS charity of the winners' choosing. Winners can select from a suggested list of organizations or can choose to have their prize money donated to their own school or organization or to an organization in their community that is doing amazing youth-based work on HIV and AIDS.

All contest submissions will be uploaded to YAHAnet’s Audio Gallery once the winners have been selected.

Open voting will take place during the two weeks following the contest to determine the podcast that should receive an Honourable Mention!
